My Phone Interview is Oct. 2!

It official, my final stage begins Oct. 2! My phone interview is at 7:30pm. granted there were tons of openings during the day, but of course im in class, so that class day will not be spent productively:) all I will be able to think about is my interview!!! Oct 2 was as soon as they could get me in! When i scheduled my time on friday, i was so upset cause it seemed so far away, but now that i think about it, its only a week away! And then from there, I will know within 2 WEEKS if im accepted or not!! So in the scheme of things, its a quick process! Im really hoping to hear by my bday, Oct 5, but that would be shooting REALLY high. I have heard of some people getting accepted within 48 hours, but VERY few. Most are 10-14 days. Im so excited :) Disney Recruiting is tomorrow at school, and even though i dont need to be recruited, ive already applied, im still going to get myself pumped and talk to the recruiting lady on some tips for my interview. I did find out today that 3,000-7,000 people get accepted, which made me super excited, until i heard that 22,000 people apply... lol. Sooo we will have to see how this goes... but in honor of my excitement and to keep my hopes up, i posted the picture below next to my bed. <3 I. CANT. WAIT.

WEB INTERVIEW COMPLETE!!!!

SO. UNBELIEVABLY. HAPPY. after some EXTREME confusion today, i FINALLY completed my WBI!!!! AND PASSED!! So my only step left is my FINAL PHONE INTERVIEW!! :D yay!!! But seriously, today was the worst day ever. I got so impatient, i called Disney themselves and said i hadnt recieved an offer yet! The lady said i should recieve it within the hour! 5 HOURS passes and NOTHING. soo i go to a movie, i get out of the movie and see an email from DISNEY! of course im estatic until i read further and find out that it is a REMINDER to fill out the interview i SUPPOSIDLY got a few days previously. Which i definently never really recieved. So i try calling the office and they dont open till MONDAY which is when my interview offer supposidly EXPIRED. So i go home and cry for about 15 minutes until my phone goes off and BAM. theres an interview invite waiting for me :) sooo things are definently messed up on disneys end, considering i recieved my expiration notice on an interview i didnt recieve until AFTER that email. But at least its DONE and i PASSED! :D ON TO THE NEXT INTERVIEW!

The frustration continues....

Day 2, and still no word from Disney. and the more i research it, the more i find out how almost EVERYONE got offered their web based interview with a few HOURS of applying. this makes me SUPER discouraged. :( Luckily, there is someone else in the same position as me who applied the same time, and she was bold enough to send an email to the recruiters, asking them whats up, so hopefully this will be figured out tommorow. Today was the longest. day. ever. time is just dragginggg because of all this!! Im relying on the DCP FB page to get me thru life right now lol. I made a funny post that got quiet a few hits, im pretty proud lol

so i continue to wait with sleepless nights. Im praying i wake up tommorow, and my invite is just waiting for me <3

Stressful period #1... Applying!!

Every hour seems to get more excruciating!! For those of you who dont know, I applied for the Disney College Program in Orlando, FL yesterday evening, and still no word! I originally thought you had to attend the recruitment meeting, which is still a week away, so im glad i found out that you dont need to go to that so my app is at least already in progress! For those of you who do not know, the DCP (disney college program, duh) is a program that allows college students to spend either 4 or 6 months in either Walt Disney World or Disney Land, working and attending school at Disney University (yes, disney has its own college). You live only with students in the program in awesome dorms that provide a bus that takes you anywhere you need to go. from the store, to the mall, to you job and back home. they provide everything. You work in the park doing certain jobs based on your skills. It is a difficult application process that can take up to a few months but generally a few weeks. It is a very competitive program that MANY people apply for, but only a few make. I have already applied, now im just awaiting the wonderful email telling me i can continue to my web interview! Then from there, i continue to a phone interview and then they decide from there if i am accepted or not. And for those that dont know, i was ACCEPTED for the program 2 years ago for the Merchandise position, but turned it down due to the fact my advisor said it wasnt wise to attend as a freshman. I am praying like CRAZY that i will be accepted again and that they will remember me and accept me due to the fact im even more awesome now than i was then. haha :)

So here i am, refreshing my dashboard, just waiting for the invite for the first interview. lol. pathetic. Buttt i can at least entertain myself for now on the College Program facebook page andddd the specific Spring Program 2013 page for those people taking part in the upcoming program! So i have already talked to a few potential roomates and people i will be meeting with! interviews have been going on for 2 weeks already (which i was unaware of otherwise id already be done with everything by now) so Ive seen soooo many acceptances already, it makes me so nervous. Most people say they only had to wait a few HOURS after they applied to get their wbi, so im freaking out. just a bit. But ive been accepted before, so i should be accepted again... right? :) cant wait to get things rolling. im so ready for this!! Getting accepted would be the best bday present. its only 2 weeks away... hopefully i get my answer by then!!  :) SOOOO listed below are my TOP CHOICES for my job while down at disney, starting with my number one!

#1: CHARACTER ATTENDANT

this seems like the most fun job you can get while working at Disney. this means, i would introduce all the lil kiddies to the character and speak on behalf of that character. I would be talking in front of large crowds, and be responsible for protecting that character. lots of interaction with people, lost of moving and lots of time outside! PERFECT!

#2. ATTRACTIONS

This job would also be tons of fun! this would include not only operating the rides, but also being spokesperson. for example, the jungle rides through the Animal Kingdom, you would provide the narration. Or if you are working in the pirate theme of the park, you would dress up as a pirate and pretend to be one. doesnt get much better than that :)

#3. MERCHANDISE

Due to my lengthy experience in retail, i think i would enjoy this position! who doesnt enjoy selling souvenirs to happy little kids!! selling those classic Micky ears that kids keep forever: priceless

#4. FULL SERVICE RESTAURANT

And of course, because of my restaurant experience, this has the potential to be very rewarding!! Being able to work in one of the many restaurants in the park!
